This is a cause that's very personal to me,

I pledged to draw up a creative project to support DESIGNCONNECT’s Future Designer Campaign. The idea is to share our drawings with students to inspire them to pursue careers in design, so they can shape the radical future that awaits them! the drawings will be exhibited at the Detroit School of Arts, a Detroit public high school in Midtown, to help raise awareness of career opportunities in creative design

For my project, I chose to compose a scene that captures the excitement of motorsport as developments in electrification and autonomy loom. The far-fetched future of performance vehicles is something that never ceases to inspire us in the studio, so i figured something in that vein might capture student attention!

Many students aren't aware of the career paths they can pursue that still allow them to embrace the artistic exploration they've fallen in love with in the classroom.

The idea of applying artistic and creative techniques to a career in design certainly caught me by surprise, but it really only came to be because several passionate teachers and professionals took the time to bring it to my attention, and share resources with me.

By creating, I’m supporting a vision of an inclusive and diverse creative workforce that further taps into the wealth of talent here in Detroit's school districts. Every contribution made to this campaign will be put to work providing resources like career exposure , curriculum development, scholarships, equipment, and more to support these bright young creatives we'll one day share an industry with .
